With the cap expected to rise to 70 million again for 2014-15, they will need those salaries to reach the cap floor. |

Dont forget about Sean Bergenheim who missed the entire NHL season after suffering a groin injury playing in Finland during the lockout.
Red Wings are 11-0-2-5 vs. Florida since their last regulation loss to the Panthers, on Dec. 1, 1996. Three of their top five scorers in 2013 were Red Wings draft picks (Fleischmann, Kopecky, Matthias).
Wings are going to rip up the east this season!!!.......and thanx for Weiss |

Bergenheim was an honorable mention in my head, but for what he brings to the table when healthy, I'm fine with him and his contract. |

However, is a career high of 54 points worth $4.4 million?
Yes. Trade him to us.
Weiss got 4.9. Gagner..similar. Other 2C's as well. Laich. |

Jovanovski and Upshall by far. Not even close, especially when you add in Upshall's NMC and modified NTC, and that Jovo's is a 35+ contract. Versteeg is a 50 point player when healthy, and the Panthers have no one to replace what Campbell brings on the ice. |

These last few years of Campbell's contract will be a lot like the last couple of seasons for Timonen in Philly. He'll be a bit overpaid for what he brings, but what he brings is so hard to find that you shouldn't worry about the price tag.

I don't know why Florida always seems to have so many injuries, I feel bad for them. But anyways, I wish Weiss had stayed, he's what I think of when I think of the Florida Panthers. |

Your team has become a nice place to play out the string for players looking to get that last big contract in a place their family will enjoy living. Your team will always have no trouble getting older players or players that are injury risks because of where your city is. As far as hockey goes Florida will struggle, Yeah you have some young players (draft) but your team has a lot of dead wood. A few more years of sucking and your team will be able to compete. Could be worse your team could be in the west division where they would really suck.

Hands down, it's Campbell. He is a total liability on d, and he ain't that good of an offensive d-man as well. Just check out his +/-. OUCH |

Panthers won't have over 65 points thus season. They might be out of it by December to be honest. |

The modern loser point structure makes it virtually impossible for any team to be out of it by December. |

Jovo and Upshall by far, the other two don't even deserve to make a list. Atleast Jovo served his purpose (for a short while). |
